About Dr. Ing. Detlef Müller-Wiesner

  • Freelance consultant for innovation processes, aerospace research & technology, systems engineering, strategy and start-up coaching.
  • From 1986 until his retirement in 2016, he worked at Airbus or the companies that later became part of Airbus.
  • In the field of space technology, he held high-ranking positions in the areas of development, production, service and program: among other things, he was the last project manager of Spacelab. At EADS and Airbus Group, he was assigned management, integration and global development of the EADS Corporate Research Centre as well as positions as Chief Operating Officer Innovation and part of the EADS Corporate Technical Office (CTO).
  • In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Müller-Wiesner has held and continues to hold a variety of other roles and honorary positions, including Officer in the Reserve of the German Air Force, Member and Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the German Aerospace Society (DGLR), honorary title as "Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite du France" and full member of the Academie de l'Air et de l'Espace in France, and many more.
  • Since 2017, he has been a member of the 3DSE Advisory Board, where he supports the consulting company with his excellent industry knowledge, deep expertise as well as his high-profile network from the aerospace sector.
