About Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Harald Ludanek

  • Expert with deep expertise in automotive field with 26 years of experience in automotive development.
  • 2002 Member of the Board of Management at Škoda Auto and assumption of responsibility for Technical Development in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic.
  • 2007 Head of overall vehicle development and test construction at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg.
  • 2012 Chief Development Officer at Scania in Södertälje, Sweden, focusing on the following areas: Development of a new truck generation, new engine development, hybrid development and modular system.
  • 2016 Member of the Board of Management for Development at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
  • Since 2017, he has been using his time credits to devote himself more intensively to university activities and consulting as part of an early retirement arrangement.
  • Honorary doctorate from the Royal Institute for Technology at KTH-Stockholm University and honorary professorship at Clausthal University of Technology.
  • Since 2017, he has been a member of the 3DSE Advisory Board, where he supports the consulting company with his many years of practical and academic experience as well as his top-class network from the automotive sector.
