Career steps

A career in consulting as opposed to working in a traditional company

The career path at 3DSE is not a typical path through hierarchies. With a strong team at your back, you will master inspiring and fascinating challenges. And you will just as masterfully take the next steps to develop your career.

As a consultant at 3DSE, you can do everything – from production (consulting, projects) to expertise (consultant know-how), and sales (account management and acquisition of new projects). So a career at 3DSE means that you will be able to further develop, improve, and advance yourself in all these dimensions.

Junior consultant

From the very start you are a part of a project team and work directly with our clients. You quickly take responsibility for your own work packages and thus become familiar with our analytical and results-oriented working methods. With targeted promotion, you can advance to the position of consultant shortly after beginning as a junior consultant.

Consultant

As a consultant you are responsible for your own tasks within a project. Due to your experience, you work independently and have a larger realm of responsibility. You proactively expand your specific knowledge and organize the majority of the project work. You share your knowledge with new colleagues as a mentor, thereby also facilitating your own growth.

Senior consultant

As a senior consultant, you have true expertise in a 3DSE field of competence and take responsibility for projects. You lead smaller teams and act as a sounding board for colleagues and clients. Senior consultants work closely together with our clients to understand their problems and develop strategies for solutions. Together with your colleagues, you guide the implementation of your recommendations and support our clients as they exploit their potential.

Manager

As a manager, you are part of the extended leadership of 3DSE. You independently head up projects with larger teams and feel at home handling multiple projects. You demonstrate leadership skills and develop your employees in a targeted manner. You are a cross-industry expert for our clients’ issues and needs, and you implement valuable solutions on many levels for enthusiastic clients.

Principal

As a principal, you are part of the management team at 3DSE. You guide both your project team and clients, and substantially contribute to the success of our company with innovative solutions that provide value on many levels. As a principal, you play a significant role in further developing our company and the strategic agendas of our clients. You are responsible for the further development of 3DSE key competencies and consultancy products. You have and maintain a broad, viable client network.

Partner

Our partners are shareholders, part of the upper management, and are responsible for the strategic orientation and long-term development of 3DSE. You have sustained and substantial success in acquisitions and thus ensure our growth. Our partners are on a level playing field with the top-level decision-makers of our clients, who profit from the entire spectrum of 3DSE services.

Starting as a student

Student trainees – from theory to practice

As a student in a Master’s program, you can work with us on a real project for a defined period of time as a student trainee. From the very beginning, you are a part of the project team and are responsible for providing support with your valuable and high-quality legwork. This is how you become familiar with consulting topics at 3DSE and the world of our clients, and collect your first professional experiences.

Key positions for our success

Management consulting means working in flexible project teams, frequently at different – even international – job sites. This requires a strong team to support the consultants and give them a solid framework.

In the back office team, you are active in the areas of finance, human resources, marketing, IT, administration, and team assistance. With your expertise, you make a substantial contribution to the outstanding solutions we develop with our clients.
